Collaboration or In-house?

If you are adding a new service or program, you will need to decide whether to keep it internal or collaborate with an external partner. In the original Project STYLE, the University-based clinic partnered with community based organizations who were already doing testing and outreach to strengthen the linkage and retention in health care.

APEB's M+ is an integrated program and managed in house, but the agency retains close ties with other providers in the region for seamless referrals.

Community Partnership Model for Testing and Linkage

This video, from the HisHealth.org website, describes the partnership between Brothers United and the Damien Center, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This collaboration between a community-based outreach and testing organization and a health care clinic is similar to the original Project STYLE model.
